Zombie Bowl for Kids’ Sake Fundraiser

Proceeds will directly support local mentoring programs benefiting youth facing adversity

LAS VEGAS – May 1, 2015 – Zombies. Do they scare you or are you secretly wishing for the zombie apocalypse? If you fall into the latter category, be sure to check out this year’s Zombie Bowl. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada (BBBSN) will hold Zombie Bowl for Kids’ Sake at 12:00p.m., on June 13th, 2015, at Red Rock Lanes, inside of Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa, 11011 W. Charleston Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89135. Fundraiser is open to the public but advanced registration is required. Zombie attire recommended but optional. Attendees may choose to get “zombified” by professional zombie makeup and costume artists on-site. Bowlers put together teams of 5 and each bowler raises a minimum of $100 to register. Registration includes bowling, shoe rental, Zombie Bowl for Kids’ Sake T-Shirt, refreshments and raffle prizes. Sponsorship packages are available and BBBSN is seeking prizes, silent auction and raffle donations, and sponsorships ranging from $250-$5,000. The Bowl for Kids Sake Zombie Fundraiser provides a way for mentors and their friends and families, as well as community-minded people who might not have time to mentor, to support Big Brothers Big Sisters. BBBSN is supported by donors and volunteers, and seeks funding through events like this to maintain and grow its mentorship program and outreach initiatives throughout Southern Nevada. 

“Every year, the ‘Littles’ of the organization get so excited for this event! It’s a great way to engage the community and local businesses that might not otherwise have time to mentor. Every little bit helps. Fun activities like this are important to create the environment of connectedness,” said Molly Latham, Chief Executive Office for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada. 

BBBSN Zombie Bowl for Kids’ Sake sponsorship packages include: Table Sponsor ($250); Lane Sponsor ($1,000); King Pin Refreshment Sponsor ($2,000); Spare Sponsor ($3,000); Big Strike Sponsor ($5,000). All sponsorship packages allow companies to show their support and of the youth mentoring organization and send employees to bowl as a fun team-building activity, or pay for mentors and mentees to bowl at the event. Company names and logos will be displayed prominently in online marketing and social media, as well as at the event. Sponsors may also elect to have a promotional or informational table at the event to engage a new and influential audience. BBBSN is also accepting in-kind donations of silent auction and raffle items such as gift certificates, show tickets, gift baskets, sports memorabilia, weekend travel or spa packages.
