Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada to Host Holiday Bike & Board Bonanza

Proceeds raised help support important mentoring programs for at-risk kids.

LAS VEGAS – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada (BBBSN) will host their annual Holiday Bike & Board Bonanza, a holiday promotion that will provide a brand new bicycle or skateboard for all “Littles” in BBBSN mentoring programs. The bicycles and skateboards will be given to the “Littles” at a special one day event on Saturday, Dec, 6, from 1 – 4 p.m., at Element Las Vegas Summerlin, 10555 Discovery Drive. Sponsorship for a bike or skateboard begins at $500. Other individual donor opportunities as well as bike shop locations with direct donation opportunities are available at For the past three years, BBBSN and their corporate sponsors have given away over 180 bicycles and skateboards.

“Holiday Bike & Board Bonanza is a fun way to provide joy to at risk children in our community,” said Molly Latham, CEO at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada.  “We’re inspired by the support we receive from our sponsors.”

All funds raised from the promotion will support mentoring programs provided by BBBSN to the Southern Nevada Community. BBBSN programs are continually evaluated and participant outcomes are consistently measured. After one year in a BBBSN supported match relationship, site-based mentees reported score improvements in social acceptance, scholastic competency, and educational expectations.
